There is a real forest in the city center, painstakingly contained by ancient walls and new pillars, whose neglect, however, is a serious threat for those who live a few meters away from that forest. We are talking about via Pascoli and, in particular, of the embankment surrounded by the walls of Charles V, right above the parallel to the Via Tommaso Cannizzaro, on which several condominiums insist. That forest is a threat because for too long there have been no scmerbatura and cleaning interventions, causing the protests and fears of the inhabitants of the area, and in particular of the condominium Cooperative Building Giovanni Pascoli, whose administrator has sent different warnings to the Municipality. Widespread as those of the vice -president of the fourth municipality, Debora Buda, and the president of the second commission, Nicola Lauro. That same area, in 2017, had been at the center of a provision of the Court of Messina, which had ordered the Municipality, owner of the area, to eliminate the danger – which is also of fires, as happened in the past – “by eliminating the vegetation in the area overlooking the condominium and the execution of works to secure the containment wall and the beams and” bridge batteries “that support the viale Italy”. The last warning dates back to the beginning of the month and about ten days ago the Municipality ordered the offices of public green and the Messinaservizi to concert the interventions ». That remain urgent, but not performed. Seb.Casp.
