The artist Titti Crisafulli He donated to the Archbishop of Messina Msgr. Giovanni Accolla A portrait, which immortalizes him during an important religious function. The work was delivered by the artist in recent months, during a public meeting that took place at the archbishop’s headquarters, Msgr. Accolla showed himself surprised and thanked the artist for the fine gift. “I realized this portrait as a sign of gratitude, for the excellent pastoral work that its excellence is dedicating to our city”. This was stated by Nunziatina Titti Crisafulli who concluded: “My works are the result of a careful analysis, which leads me to define them and then to make them”.
Titti Crisafulli is a multifaceted artist known and appreciated not only in the city for 22 years on the “catalog of modern art – Italian artists from the early twentieth century to today”published by Mondadori and in almost all art books. Portraitist painter, has always nourished great interest in the world of crafts and ancient trades. He made a collection of about 40 works in which he portrays ancient crafts, which were also exhibited in New York at the Hotel Pensylvania in 2000. Numerous works of the artist are found in various cities of Italy, in public bodies, in Germany, In Brussels, New Jersy and numerous private collections.
In Messina, some works are found among the atro, in different churches: an altarpiece that represents all the Saints Messina found at the Parish of S. Maria Addolorata in S. Andrea Avellino, as well as in the museums of S. Annibale and in the Museum of S. Maria dell’Ancoronatone di Camaro. Awarded numerous among the most important prizes: Tindari Prize 1997, Leone di S.
