New collapse on provincial road 45 which connects the 4 Masse area to the city. It happened around 5.30pm. A large portion of the roadway collapsed, making the road impassable, at least temporarily. Yesterday, after the first warnings, the president of the district Francesco Pagano alerted the metropolitan city which had cordoned off the portion that seemed most at risk. But the failure affected an even larger part, also bringing the barriers themselves downstream. The collapse occurred in Massa San Nicola, two hundred meters from where, a month ago, the landslide occurred which temporarily interrupted transit. Then the creation of a bypass had somehow alleviated the problem which now reappears in all its importance.
