On the morning of November 25th, on the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, Piazza Cairoli in Messina was transformed into a symbolic space for reflection and civil commitment thanks to the flashmob organized by the students of the Liceo Classico “F. Maurolico”.

The initiative officially kicked off the city student parade, promoted with the patronage of the Municipality of Messina, the University of Messina and the Ministry of the Interior. “Choose respect, sow the future” was the title chosen for the event, a strong and direct message that recalls the urgency of building a culture of respect and awareness starting from school.

The students, symbolically dressed in red and carrying signs and banners, animated the square with choreographic gestures and moments of reflection, bringing attention to a dramatically current issue.
The event is part of a broader calendar of city initiatives aimed at raising awareness among the population, in particular young people, on the importance of combating all forms of gender violence, promoting healthy relationships based on mutual respect.
