“You will live forever in our hearts. We will take you with us wherever we go”: a promise that is already certain that Danilo Rando’s friends have wanted to make on the t-shirts with his photo. In the church of the Madonna della Lettera in Torre Faro, the last farewell to the young 20 -year -old victim of the accident that took place on 3 September on the coast: to tighten around the family all the village, to honor a good and kind boy who all estimated. His love for life, generosity has translated into the greatest gesture of love, the donation of the organs, which will allow other people to live also in the name of Danilo.
It was the parish priest Msgr. Giuseppe La Speme to celebrate the funeral: the priest, who arrived in Torre Faro just over a year ago, knew little the young man, but collected the testimonies of those who saw him grow, underlining that the community of Torre Faro made his family pain because it is a community that knows how to rejoice and that he knows how to cry. “Why all this? Because the death of Danilo? Questions that they will never reply” he said to the family. “Faith that projects us beyond death, the one that Danilo received with baptism”.
“It is precisely this faith, continued the priest,” who becomes a conditioner on the wounds of the parents, his sister and brother, of the grandparents of Danilo affectionate, lovable, discreet, full of life, capable of giving his life by giving part of those who are in the test. It is not easy to separate from loved ones, think and rethinking the tragic death of a young man who has struck his dreams. Dear Danilo, bring to the Lord your joy of life, run upwards with the wings of true life that of God, who holds you in his embrace from the world of truth. Let us understand that nor nor pain, nor death can tear us from the love of God, a fruitful love.
