THE Departments of the “Aosta” brigadeoperating garrison of the army in Sicily, were at the center of the institutional visit of the Army General Staff, General of Army Corps Carmine Masiello who reached the city of the Strait to meet the staff and deepen the training and operational activities in progress.
Accompanied by the Commander of the “Aosta”, Brigade General Pasquale Spanò, the head of SME visited the Brigade Command and, subsequently, the “Crisafulli Zuccarello” and “Ainis” barracks, offices of the 5th Infantry Regiment “Aosta”, of the 24th “Peloritani” Artillery Regiment and the 6th Command Department and Tactical Supports “Aosta”.
During the briefing with the commanders of the departments, the process of modernization in progress was illustrated, with the introduction of new technological and modern control and control systems platforms, confirming the commitment of the armed force towards innovation and operational readiness.
During the visit, the Masiello Army Corps General met the military personnel, addressing words of appreciation for the professionalism and dedication demonstrated and underlining: “The” Aosta “brigade is a flagship of the army. Finally, the head of SME met the local authorities, including the Prefect of Messina, Dr. Cosima di Stani, and the mayor, Dr. Federico Basile, reaffirming the synergy between the army and institutions of the territory.
