Everything is ready in Montepiselli for the feast of Saint Teresa of the Child Jesus and the Holy Facewhich culminates today at 5.30pm with the blessing of the roses and the procession of the simulacrum through the streets surrounding the parish church, the only one in the city dedicated to the saint of Liseux. A moment awaited by the community which in recent years has been committed to spreading the cult of the Carmelite nun who died young, known and venerated as a saint of suffering and missions and an icon of universal compassion.
A great devotion to Saint Teresa of the Child Jesus and the Holy Face which is renewed on the first Sunday of October, bringing with it simple but fundamental values such as charity, welcome and mutual listening. These are the cornerstones linked to the spirituality of the saint of Lisieux (in France), to whom the parish church of Montepiselli is named; from here the procession of the faithful starts with the simulacrum held by the bearers, led by the parish priest Don Giovanni Sturialein a triumph of white handkerchiefs and fireworks, which will travel through the streets of the district.
