At the regional Citadel in Catanzaro, a day of discussion and discovery of institutional activities with the winning students of the “Young people tell their stories” contest.

The tour is part of the initiative included in the last edition of the MIRAI project – Together we create the future, promoted by the Employment department of the Calabria Region to guide young people into the world of work, enhancing the talent of young people and strengthening the dialogue between institutions and new generations.

The students were welcomed by the general manager of the Labor department, Fortunato Varone, who described with his team the activities carried out with passion by the Employment Centers and the tools made available to promote employment, especially among young people, and combat undeclared work.

The participants were able to learn closely about the activities and functioning of some of the strategic departments of the Calabria Region, including Education, Tourism, Organization and Human Resources, Agriculture and, obviously, Work.

A training and information path that allowed young people to closely observe the daily work carried out by the regional administration and the role of its strategic sectors.

“Days like this – states the councilor for Labour, Giovanni Calabrese – fully represent the spirit of the MIRAI project and the Region’s commitment to building a solid bridge between the institutions and our young people. Giving them the opportunity to get to know the administrative machinery up close means bringing them closer to the decision-making processes and showing how much work and professionalism there are behind public policies. Investing in young people is not a slogan, but a necessity: they are the future of our Calabria. Their curiosity, their enthusiasm and the their vision represents a precious resource that we must continue to enhance and support. I thank the councilor Antonio Montuoro, all the general directors, as well as Varone also Antonella Cauteruccio, Marina Petrolo, Raffaele Rio, Giuseppe Iiritano and the staff involved for their professionalism, availability, the explanations provided and the welcome given to the participants. The initiative – concludes Calabrese – confirms the commitment of the Calabria Region, governed by President Roberto Occhiuto, in promoting policies. policies aimed at young people, encouraging orientation, training and new professional opportunities in promoting active policies aimed at young people, encouraging orientation, training and new professional opportunities”.
