The vice president of the Council and Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Matteo Salvini, signed the decree with which he is conferred on the lawyer Paolo Piacenza the position of extraordinary commissioner of the port system authority of the Southern and Ionian Tyrrhenian Seas, based in Gioia Tauro.
The commissioner, temporary nature, is aimed at ensuring the administrative continuity and full operation of the authority up to the restoration of the ordinary summit bodies.
The appointment was formally communicated to the Calabria Region on the same date as the provision. Mit reiterates its commitment to guarantee the management continuity of strategic stopovers for the country and confirms the centrality of the port of Gioia Tauro in the national logistical and infrastructure system.
