More expensive hotels, Reggio in the top ten. Over the past 4 years, increases by 50%

In the summer marked by the controversy for the dear umbrella, the data of the heavy increases in the hotel sector also arrive which, perhaps surprisingly, sees Reggio Calabria placed in tenth place in Italy. Those data were made known by the National Consumer Union, which conducted a study to draw up the ranking by developing the latest Istat data relating to the month of July and comparing them not only compared to last summer, but also compared to pre-crisis times, that is, the summer of 2021, before the war in Ukrainian and the take-off of prices, from light to gas.
The first figure to underline compared to July 2024, against a general inflation of 1.7%, is that the accommodation services, that is hotels, motels, pensions, bed & breakfasts, farmhouses, holiday villages, campsites and youth hostels, have risen to national average in a more contained way, +1.3%. In short, a positive fact, if it were not that in some cities the increases have been decidedly greater.
