He died yesterday in Capo d’Orlando, at the age of 95, the lawyer Carmelo Giuseppe Antillo. With him if a piece of history of the country goes, a few days after the centenary of his autonomy. As Councilor for Culture, he supported the growth and continuity of the exhibition “Vita e Landscape di Capo d’Orlando”, established back in 1955, and has constantly animated the cultural life of the country, promoting relationships with the Family Foundation Piccolo di CalanoMo and the publication of important publications on the history and cultural heritage of the country.
Having retired from active policy, he continued his public commitment in local associations by playing for several sent the role of president of the “L’Abuci” Mutual Aid Society. The news of his death caused the Orlandina community to be brought alive who remembers him as an absolute protagonist of public life. The funeral of the lawyer Antillo will take place this afternoon at the church Christ the king.
