In the afternoon of today the Fire Brigade team of the Provincial Command of Cosenza – detachment of San Giovanni in Fiore – intervened in Pedace, in Botte – Streada delle Vette Botte, for the search for two mushroom seekers who had been lost in a wooded and impervious area.
Searches
Once the position of the missing through geolocation identified, the Flight Department of the Fire Brigade of Lamezia Terme was activated to support operations in the mountain environment.
Recovery
At 6.15 pm the Dragon VF62 helicopter reached the two hikers, providing for recovery and transport in a safe area, where they were entrusted to the vigilaphocoper staff of the earth team. The intervention ended without consequences for the people involved.
