Naspi increases 2025
From 1 January 2025 some news entered into force:
- The amounts will undergo an increase of 0.8%.
- The monthly maximum, which in 2024 was 1,550.42 euros, will rise to around 1,562.82 euros.
With the entry into force of the new Budget Law 2025, from 1 January there are significant changes to the requirements of access to NASPI (new social insurance for employment), especially for specific cases related to voluntary resignation and the contribution accrued.
What is Naspi?
Naspi is a monthly allowance provided by INPS to subordinate workers who involuntarily lose their jobs. Among the beneficiaries are:
- Apprentices
- Fixed -term workers of the public sector
- Employees fired or whose contract is finished
Situations that allow access to NASPI
Workers can access NASPI in case of:
- Dismissal, even for just cause
- Natural expiry of the contract
- Resignation for just cause (for example for non -pay or mobbing)
- Voluntary resignation during the protected period of maternity/paternity
New 2025: requirements for voluntary resignation
From 1 January 2025, the workers who voluntarily resign or comply with a permanent contract and find a new employment must meet a further requirement to access Naspi in the event of subsequent involuntary loss of work.
The new contribution requirement
In case of dismissal after a new use, it will be necessary:
- Have accrued at least 13 weeks of contribution (even non -continuous) at the new employer.
Practical example
A worker who voluntarily resigns on February 15, 2025 and is hired on March 10, 2025, but is fired on April 10, 2025, he will not be able to access the Naspi, not having accumulated the 13 weeks of contribution requested.
If, on the other hand, the dismissal takes place on 10 July 2025, having accrued the contribution requirement, it will be able to benefit from the indemnity.
Unjustified absences: a new rule
Since 2025, a prolonged unjustified absence greater than:
- 5 days (for some CCNL)
- 15 days (for other CCNL)
It will be considered as a voluntary discharge, except for proof contrary. This excludes the worker from access to Naspi.
