Six hundred members of Futuro Nazionale, belonging to Committees 144 and 1067 of Lamezia Terme, left the party in “light of the latest events with a feeling of profound bitterness that arose following the various appointments imposed by the leaders, not taking into account the democratic choices of the various committees”. This appeared as a “betrayal of the principles expressed by General Vannacci on the occasion of the two days in Rome”, where meritocracy was always talked about.
But what kind of meritocracy is there if the “popular base of the party has not been taken into consideration, especially in a difficult land like Calabria, where doing politics is always complicated”, we read in a note.
All members have expressed the desire to withdraw their membership card, “disappointed and tired of being made fun of for the umpteenth time, by false prophets, good at speaking” but who in practice demonstrate that they “only want to protect the position of the dirty dozen” by guaranteeing them a “good position in parliamentarians, to continue to enjoy privileges and large salaries without bringing results”.
The decision of the six hundred members arrives on the day in which the member of Lamezia, Domenico Furgiuele officially celebrates his appointment as regional coordinator of National Future.
Sasso: 5,000 members in Calabria
«Great participation this evening at the first political assembly of Futuro Nazionale in Lamezia Terme, with over 400 people in a packed hotel room at the limits of capacity». This was stated by MP Rossano Sasso, national director of Futuro Nazionale with Vannacci.
«Together with prof. Rinaldi and the new regional commissioner Domenico Furgiuele – he adds – we have laid the foundations of the territorial organization of the party, thanks to the incessant activity of the constituent committees. In this regard, I categorically deny the rumors that speak of 600 members abandoning the party, evidently whoever published this news did not fulfill the first ethical obligation of a professional journalist which is to verify the sources. Calabria today has over 5,000 members, real militants and not fake ones and today we saw many of them. We also greeted numerous municipal administrators who joined Futuro Nazionale, among these in particular two municipal councilors and a councilor from a large city like Lamezia Terme”.
