An allocation of over 44 million, from European funds and FSC funds, to finance 32 projects with the involvement of 27 municipalities. These are the most significant data of Regional Plan on confiscated assets approved by the Calabrian junta led by President Occhiuto on the proposal of the vice -president Filippo Pietropaolo. To illustrate the results of the plan in a press conference at the headquarters of the Region, in Catanzaro, the Undersecretary inside, Wanda Ferrowhich has the national delegation to the management of the assets confiscated from the mafia, Occhiuto and Pietropaolo.

This is a great challenge to which we have obviously also joined a cultural challenge with an exhibition that touched Rome and Milan and will arrive in Reggio Calabria. A commitment that also has the important symbolism of a state that is stronger than the mafias and returns to healthy and honest citizens what has been removed ».

To conclude the intervention of Pietropaolo. “We made – he said – an expression of interest aimed at the 145 municipalities that have confiscated assets already assigned by the National Agency by inviting them to present projects and indicating criteria, participated just over half, and therefore we selected the projects deemed valid . The Region has allocated between Pr Calabria and FSC 44 million: of these 44 million, most of them are already engaged with these projects. We then have 18 million aside to finance management: it is the first time that a contribution is made, support for the initiatives that are implemented, we are talking about social initiatives, of the Third Sector, which we give a contribution for the management for first three years ».
Pietropaolo claimed the fact that “the regional administration has completely changed register with respect to the past to overcome the critical issues with reference to the criteria for activating the initiatives and also by the management of funds”.
