The Provincial Command of the Guardia di Finanza of Reggio Calabria executed 20 measures for application of the “judicial administration prevention measures” measures and “judicial control” against as many companies at risk of infiltration of ‘Ndranghetista matrix, operating in the territory of the Reggina province.
The measures in question, issued by the Prevention Measures section of the Court of Reggio Calabria, constitute the outcome of an articulated investigation activity which is also based on the investigative findings acquired during the investigations coordinated by the local Public Prosecutor’s Office – District Anti -Mafia Directorate.
The application of these prevention measures (alternatives to the most radical seizure and confiscation measures) is aimed at guaranteeing, on the one hand, the continuity of the business activity and, on the other, the safeguarding of the related operation of the same economic entity.
The “judicial administration” and the “judicial control”, in fact, through a preventive supervisory activity, aim for the reclamation and recovery of the companies exposed to the risk of enslavement to the initiatives of organized crime, with a view to their subsequent reintegration into the legal economic fabric.
In this context, the Reggina judicial authority, on the basis of the compendium of the info-investigative elements that emerged during the specific investigative findings placed in place, found the existence of the danger of mafia infiltration on the account of the recipient companies of the measures carried out, which, previously, had been affected by anti-mafia information with an interdictive character issued by the local government authority.
These are, in particular, entrepreneurial activities that are active in various economic sectors and market segments (from constructions to agricultural, from catering to the management of bathing establishments, from agri -food to logistics, from games to transport, etc.) and whose overall value, in terms of turnover, is greater than 25 million euros.
More in detail, on the basis of what emerged from the checks and investigative insights carried out by the military of the organized crime investigation group of the economic financial police of Reggio Calabria and by the examination of the interdictive anti -mafia information issued by the Prefecture of Reggio Calabria, this danger of contamination arose, sometimes, by the existence of relationships of the holders or administrators of the companies Word with subjects belonging to mafia gangs, while, in other cases, the risk of infiltration was born from co -metrescences and occasional relationships with representatives of the ‘Ndrangheta, in order to favor its infiltration in the economic fabric of the territory, obtaining, in return, favors and concessions. Therefore, the Prevention Measures section of the Court of Reggio Calabria has ordered the application of the aforementioned measures in order to start a reclamation and reintegration path of the aforementioned companies in the bed of the legal economy.
