Archbishop Maniago announces summer transfers: “Sign of shared responsibility at the service of our Church”

In the climate of grace that accompanied the recent feast of San Vitaliano-embellished this year by the joyful presbyteral ordination of Don Pierpaolo Antonio Madia-the archbishop of Catanzaro-Squillace, Msgr. Claudio Maniagohas known some new pastoral appointments and transfers that will affect various communities of the diocese.

With a communication addressed to the faithful and the clergy, the prelate explained that the decisions arise from a careful and shared discernment, aimed at responding to the needs of parishes and enhancing the gifts of each priest. “I thank everyone for the availability and collaboration – wrote the Archbishop – a sign of the pastoral responsibility that we share at the service of our beloved diocese”.

The appointments

Here are the new provisions announced:

Don Nicola Ierardi He has been appointed parish priest of the parish of San Biagio in Serra San Bruno, succeeding Don Leonardo Calabretta, who assumes the title of emeritus and will continue his ministry to help the confreres.

Don Brunello Gallace It is the new parish priest of San Pantaleone in Montauro.

TO Don Joseph Vattathil The guide is entrusted as a parish administrator of Sant’Ilario ad Arrusto.

Don Julio Cesar Rivera Sanchez He is appointed parish priest of Santa Maria delle Grazie in Fabrizia and Mongiana, thus combining two communities in pastoral care.

An important change also concerns the parish of Santa Maria della Visitation in Soveria Simeri: Don Davide Marinoengaged in the conclusion of his doctoral thesis, leaves the guide of the community, which will be entrusted to Don Fiore capable.
