The eleventh edition of #NonCiFermaNessuno, Luca Abete’s motivational social campaign, has ended. A tour that has become a fixed appointment in the academic calendars which, from March to December, saw over 3,000 students as protagonists in eight stages in as many Italian Universities. From Naples to Cassino, passing through Pescara, Siena, Messina, Rome, Catanzaro and Cagliari: an extraordinary participation that transformed the unfiltered talks – moments in which male and female students shared fragility and stories of resilience – into a precious opportunity for discussion and reflection on the difficulties experienced by an entire generation.
The words of Luca Abete
«This tour was a journey between boys and girls looking for a place in the world while the world often doesn’t find a place for them – says Abete -. Each stage was a crossing of fragile and powerful stories, emotional maps full of tears but also of bright flashes.” Falls and examples of daily tenacity that accompanied the claim of this edition: “No one is alone”. «A phrase that is striking but which has not remained a simple slogan – continues the Striscia la Notizia correspondent -. We put it to the test at every stage, every time a student found the courage to talk about a fall, a doubt or a fear.”
In the 2025 edition #NonCiFermaNessuno was able to count on the patronage of the CRUI – Conference of Rectors of Italian Universities – and the Ministry of University and Research which, since 2018, has been accompanied by the Medal of the President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella. An innovative format, unique in its kind in Italy, in which the needs of the new millennium are given voice. «We have discovered that young people are not lost, they are overloaded – continues Abete -. Of requests, expectations, performances, silences that no one translates. Precisely for this reason we chose a provocation that speaks their language: the Golden Buzzer of Solitude, a totem that did the only thing that the system no longer does: it offered an opportunity. It gave a sound to thoughts that we usually prefer to keep quiet.” A message that was not limited to the scenic impact, but which generated a broader reflection, also in terms of the neologisms coined by Abete. «I told the kids to be primopassista, that is, to take the first step towards a new adventure that scares them. In the classroom I then spoke about Bullishness which is a new approach to metabolizing a fall, already thinking about the next step, that is, how to get up again.”
The format numbers
The numbers confirm the success of the format: over 300 posts and reels shared on social media have involved more than 4 million users, generating over 10 thousand followers on Instagram and a general growth of 46% in the last three months. Added to this is the media coverage: almost 290 minutes of interviews and over 300 appearances on television, radio and in newspapers. For the first time #NonCiFermaNessuno landed abroad with exclusive interviews in Canada, France and the United States. «In an era in which we are hyper-connected but hypo-available – says Abete -, we have put the new solitudes at the center: those that cannot be seen from the data, but can be felt in the corridors, in the downcast glances, in the quick responses. Loneliness that is not measured in kilometers, but in lack of empathy.”
An approach that found concrete application in the Permanent Laboratory of Languages of Youth Communication, an interactive hub in which students collaborated on the creation of content for the project’s social platforms. The big news of the 2025 edition were the ambassadors of #NonCiFermaNessuno. «They are our eyes on the territory – continues Abete -. Since the beginning of the year we have elected almost 50 throughout Italy and our values also stand on their legs.” Each stage saw the participation of prestigious figures, in line with the values of the social campaign: Andrea Settembre, Vincenzo Schettini, Pierpaolo Pretelli, Giusy Ferreri, Edoardo De Angelis, Teresa Manes and Sergio Friscia.
A total narrative, embellished by the fifth edition of the #NonCiFermaNessuno Award, awarded at each stage to students who are protagonists of stories of resilience, useful for instilling trust and awareness in the community. The winners were given an artefact created by Polilop’s 2.0 artisans and useful tools for training. A video course on Artificial Intelligence by MediaWorld, a Social Media Management course curated by Mac Formazione experts and a Stabilo writing kit.
Anti-Violence Number
The community supported the dissemination of the Anti-Violence and Stalking Number 1522 and the fight against gender violence with the #sempre25novembre project, promoted by Sorgenia. The social campaign then gave voice to environmental issues, encouraging the installation of RECOPET eco-compactors by COREPLA and RiVending collection bins in five universities to make the vending machine spaces in universities eco-sustainable.
The emotions experienced in the classroom found multiple channels of sharing and participation. Over 3,000 “Stabilo Cards” were distributed, cards on which the children were able to express their feedback on the event, while MediaWorld’s “Let’s say Cheese” initiative immortalized the most significant moments of the day in symbolic snapshots to take home. The dissemination action found valid allies in Print Solution and TreeWeb, while R101 – the tour’s official radio – contributed to amplifying the values of the campaign also on FM. “Nono è solo”, sung by Saitta and produced by Ondesonore Records, by Francesco Altobelli, was finally the official soundtrack of the tour.
«The system asks us to run, we ask for something different: stop every now and then, look each other in the eyes, really listen – concludes Abete -. We don’t need perfect kids, but present kids. Simplicity and authenticity are the real revolution.” The geographical journey of #NonCiFermaNessuno ends here, while that of the children continues on the project’s website and social platforms. A great celebration of courage and optimism that will return in 2026 with the 12th edition.
In the next few days the docu-recap will also be broadcast on RTP.
