The Councilor for Economic Development of the Calabria Region, Rosario Varì, announces that on 10 July the counter will open for the submission of applications relating to the public notice for the support and attraction of investments and for the strengthening of the regional production structure, with a financial allocation of 40 million euros.
“With this important tool – declares the commissioner Varì – we offer companies that want to carry out productive settlements in the area the opportunity to do it through innovative and at the same time sustainable projects”.
The initiative, as part of the FESR FSE regional program+ 2021–2027, represents a concrete opportunity for companies interested in investing in innovation, ecological and digital transition, and strengthening regional competitiveness.
The minimum investment foreseen for each project is equal to 500,000 thousand euros, with a prevalence of expenses related to production investments equal to at least 60% of the total. The intensity of help on the part relating to investments varies according to the size of the company: up to 60% for small businesses, 50% for medium and 40% for large ones. The help intensity for innovation, research and development activities are also significant.
“This measure -adds Varied -, which involves different manufacturing and services sectors, also provides for the possibility of financing large companies in the tourism sector, representing, in fact, an action aimed at integrating and enhancing what has already started at regional level in support of the SMEs of the sector”.
