On August 29, 2025, at 9.30 pm, in Montepaone Lido (municipal amphitheater – Lungomare Nausicaa) the XVII edition of the Liber@Mente International Award, promoted by the Vincenzo Scoppa Foundation, will be held.

The awards will be conferred on Luigi Marco Bassani, full professor of history of political doctrines at the Pegaso University, to Gaspare Borsellino, founder and director of the Italpress news agency, and to the international organization Students for Liberty (SFL), the largest worldwide network engaged in promoting ideas of freedom.

“With this prize – says Sandro Scoppa, president of the organizing Foundation – we want to reaffirm that freedom is not an accessory asset, but the essential condition for every authentic civil, cultural and economic progress. The protagonists of this edition represent, each in their own area, the courage of ideas, the strength of independent information and the enthusiasm of the new generations. The initiative thus continues to be a laboratory of comparison and growth, faithful to the mission to give voice to those who do not resign themselves to conformisms and believe in individual responsibility as the foundation of the open society “.

The evening, with free admission, will be accompanied by artistic and musical moments.
