A choral mobilization to say “no” to conflicts and “yes” to the culture of encounter. The great Peace March will be held tomorrow morning, Sunday 18 January, an event that will involve numerous associations, parishes and the third sector in a process of reflection and active testimony. The rally is scheduled for the morning at Piazza della Repubblica.
The itinerary
The procession will wind through the main city streets following this itinerary: it starts from Piazza della Repubblica, then continues along via Leonardo Da Vinci, via Federico Nicotera, via Adda, via Fortina, via Po, Corso G. Nicotera. Once in Piazza Ardito and continuing towards the pedestrian area of Corso Numistrano (at the height of the historic basin), the march will observe a stop dedicated to entertainment activities and moments of reflection curated by the participants. The event will end solemnly at the Cathedral. The initiative was born from the collaboration between different entities that operate daily in the social, disability, family and youth fields.

ANGSA (National Association of Parents of People with Autism), Azione Cattolica, Focolarini, Il Girasole, Lucky Friends and Luna Rossa joined the DEA PSC march. The diocesan offices: Family Ministry, Youth Ministry and Office for Social Problems, Work, Justice and Peace The AGESCI Scout group and UNITALSI. The march is not just an event for professionals, but an open invitation to every single citizen, to families and young people who wish to demonstrate their commitment to a more just and less divided society. “Walking together means recognizing each other as brothers,” explain the organizers. “In such a complex historical moment, we want our noise to be that of footsteps building bridges, not that of weapons destroying the future.”
