Palermo welcomed the “Calabrian Battiti” Reading

The industrial area of ​​the Zisa of Palermoredeveloped as a cultural pole of the city has welcomed two debuts. For the first time the Sixteenth edition of the “A Marina di Libri” Festival which proposed the debut in Sicily of the Calabrian reading Battiti signed by Calabria tribe.

The “Casa Forst” space hosted the cast led by the Vibonese artistic director Renato Costa.

In an already summer frame, the Calabrian culture was celebrated with music readings and performances performed by Maria Teresa Torchia, Natascja Marrano and Giuseppe Ingoglia.

Battiti Calabresi offered a trip to pay homage to great artists from the Calabrian cultural panorama such as: Dalida, Rino Gaetano, Corrado Alvaro, Vittorio De Seta, Giuseppe Berto, Leonida Repaci. The singer Maria Teresa Torchia also performed songs of popular music Arbëreshë and the Sicilian song “Mokarta”.

A duty thanks to Giuseppe Lombardi of Rambaldi Promotions who played a key role for the performance of both reading and the presentation of “Master and below”, another event proposed in the Sicilian Festival and which saw the presence of Faro di Maggio and Salvo Vitale, companions of Peppino Impastato. The fourth edition of Battiti Calabresi – concludes the publisher – is still under construction and wants to propose himself to other municipalities ready to welcome this format whose attentions have reached Palermo “.
