Paola, security alarm in the “Giacontesi” neighborhood

In Paola there is a neighborhood under siege between cackles, vandalisms and growing insecurity. Giacontesi district, one of the historic central areas of the city, seems to be increasingly out of control. The residents, now exasperated by a situation that seems to escape from hand, have launched a new appeal to ask for urgent interventions by the police and the Municipality. The area, which houses public offices, the DLF sports center and the court, is experiencing a period of growing degradation, amplified by the damage caused by vandalism and growing insecurity. According to reports from the inhabitants, the weekend has become a real nightmare. But even on weekdays music is always the same. The streets of the neighborhood, once quiet, turn into tracks for motorcycles and scooters, with young people who dart at dangerous speeds, causing deafening noises, damage to the urban furniture and creating inconvenience to the population. It seems to have become a circuit.
