“In fact, we speak – the parents continue – of a hub center in Palermo and a spoke center in Taormina: the first intended to manage the most complex cases, the second reserved for those deemed simpler. Furthermore, a reduction of beds in Taormina is assumed (8 in total for cardiac surgery). All this, in our opinion, is equivalent to a single word: weakening.
