Getting a meeting with the Prefecture so that those who operate in the land and in the realities of the Valle del Marro Cooperative should not be afraid or fear of further dramatic intimidating acts and put the centrality of Law 109 of 1996 on the confiscation and reuse of confiscated assets at the center of the discussion by preventing their current attempt to weaken and dismantle.
These are some of the tracks traced during the large discussion that the SPI CGIL CALABRIA secretariat and that of the Metropolitan SPI of Reggio, together with the secretariats of Cgil Calabria and Cgil Metropolitan Area and a representation of that of the Flai Cgil Metropolitan Area of Reggio Calabria, had today in Polistena where, in the premises of the Social Center named after Don Pino Puglisi, they met the vice -president of the Cooperative Valle del Marro. Antonio Napolithe free contact person for the plain of Gioia Tauro Don Pino de Masie the President Libera Calabria Giuseppe Borrello.

In the light of the repeated and constant vandalism of clear intimidating matrix of which the cooperative was victims, the unions wanted to express not only closeness, but also commitment to a reality that has been working for over 21 years giving work to disadvantaged Italian and foreign subjects. The damages this year was huge, almost 50 thousand euros, and put the continuation of an activity in which economic wealth means social wealth to serious risk, more jobs, more boys recovered, more workers over 50 reimed in the world of work.

For CGIL and SPI it is urgent not only to repress the intimidating phenomenon with protective measures, but also to intervene and raise awareness of civil society and the communities in which the Cooperative operates by renewing the cardinal principle with which the law on confiscated assets arises: to remove wealth from the ‘ndrangheta and return it to the community in the form of an economy, support, integration and employment.
