Locride is preparing to welcome the sixth edition of “Polsi Ambiente”, the annual event dedicated to the combination of environment and legality, which this year presents itself with the evocative title “Aspromonte in the heart”. The event will be held in the pastoral hall of the Diocese of Locri on 9 September and will be divided into two sessions: the morning one from 9.30 am and the afternoon one from 4.30 pm. “Polsi Ambiente” was created to affirm an often obscured truth: Locride is not just crime news, but a community made up of honest, hard-working people, eager for normality and a future. The 2026 edition reiterates this mission, despite the logistical difficulties that prevented the traditional sessions in Siderno and San LucaPolsi from being held.
The importance of this year’s edition is confirmed by the participation of the bishop of Locri, Msgr. Cesare Di Pietro, and his three predecessors: Msgr. Francesco Oliva, mons. Giuseppe Fiorini Morosini and Msgr. Giancarlo Maria Bregantini. The participation of Monsignor Bregantini adds a further symbolic and emotional value to the day, recalling years of pastoral and social commitment in the area.
