Dr. Antonio Turi, 53 years old, graduated in Law, took office yesterday as the vicar of the Quaestor of Reggio Calabria, as ordered by the chief of police – general manager of public security. Born in Amendolea, in the province of Cosenza, in 1992 he won the competition for students Vice Commissioners and, after the four -year training, served in the police headquarters of Turin and Florence, holding assignments at the General Prevention and Public Rescue Office, the Personal Office and the Immigration Office.
Since 2003 he has directed the mobile team of the Reggio Emilia Police Headquarters, coordinating, among other things, important investigations of organized crime on the Crotonese gangs, particularly active in the Reggio area.
In 2011 he moved to direct the mobile team of the Vibo Valentia police headquarters, in a phase of particular criminal folder, characterized by the succession of numerous murders, accrued in organized crime contexts, for whose consequent investigation activities coordinates a special investigative group, also composed of staff of the Central Operational Service and the Mobile Squad of Catanzaro.
Over the years he has acquired a particular investigative experience with reference to investigations on organized crime and from 2013 to 2019 he held the position of head of the Operational Section of the Anti -Mafia Investigation Directorate of Catanzaro, with competence on the provinces of Catanzaro, Cosenza, Crotone and Vibo Valentia, coordinating complex investigation activities on organized crime ‘Ndranghetista and predisposing proposals for the application of prevention measures, for the seizure and confiscation of assets for huge value, illegally acquired by subjects attributable to contexts of crime.
Promoted to the qualification of the first manager in 2019, he is assigned to the Police Headquarters of Catanzaro, with the position of manager of the Anti -Crime Division, where he starts an action to enhance the centrality of the Figure of the Quaestor – Provincial Public Security Authority, through the preparation of proposals for the application of personal and property prevention measures.
In 2022 the important position of the manager of the PS police station of Lamezia Terme (CZ) took on the important thing, exercising the functions of local public security authority.
It has been aggregated at various police headquarters, in numerous public order services, prepared on the occasion of important events.
Over the years he has received numerous moral awards, Ecomas and praisefor operational activities of an investigative and patrimonial nature.
