According to the Cooperative, the situation in the Southern Linear Park would be characterized by races of cars, motorbikes and scooters crossing the area frequented daily by families, children, elderly people and dog owners.
The post states that, in the last three years, the reports have always received the same responses, while the requests made by the committee – including video surveillance, planned but not yet installed, and raised pedestrian crossings – have remained unanswered.

The Cooperative links its concerns to the tragedy that occurred in Torre Faro, in Messina, explaining that the pain experienced by the Messina community represents one more reason to ask for immediate interventions also in Reggio Calabria.
The message remembers Giulia, the young woman who died in Torre Faro, defining her disappearance as a wound that also involves those who have been denouncing the critical issues of the Southern Linear Park for years.
The appeal to the institutions
The Torre Lupo Cooperative asks administrators, law enforcement agencies and competent subjects to intervene urgently so that the Southern Linear Park does not remain a “no man’s land” and greater safety is guaranteed.
The post reiterates that «Safety is not a favor: it is a duty. And today, more than ever, it is urgent”, with the hope that concrete measures will be adopted before new dramatic episodes occur.
