The magical moon bursts powerfully onto the stage of the Alberto Neri Arena, dressing in a thousand colors and giving so many emotions, the perfect companion for dance, music, the scenic and theatrical strength that the acting of the body gives us back. Here is “Pink Floyd Moon”, the second appointment of the Catonateatro program that smells of dream and magic; an evening that we would have liked to never end with Raffaele Paganini, Pink Floyd Legend and Compagnia Dce choreography and direction Micha van Hoecke.
It all seemed so beautiful and even a little nostalgic as the timeless, unforgettable songs bridged rock and classical music. It was Pink Floyd’s music that inspired choreographer/director Micha Van Hoecke to create this rock opera, with the legendary English band’s psychedelic sound and haunting lyrics performed live by Pink Floyd Legend, the band led by Fabio Castaldi and now recognized as one of Europe’s finest interpreters of Pink Floyd’s music.
An intense and equally demanding show, as admitted in the leading role, the étoile Raffaele Paganini, flanked by a young and lively “alter ego”, Mattia Tortora, and by the brilliant talents of the Dce Company. «The task is arduous; the preparation of us dancers has a psychophysical support and it is the choreographer who gives the right direction», Paganini begins, adding: «I had stopped dancing, by now working as a teacher, but the role of Syd captivated me and I am very happy to have done it and to have been part of this great team. A journey into art that has no barriers, that intersects the most varied and intense forms, the classical, the modern and the contemporary, all the result of a work carefully studied at the table.
