Railway stations as places social and intermodal exchange. A sort of return to the past when the life of the neighborhoods revolved around reference points. The basic philosophy? Proximity and polycentrism in tune with the masterplan the urban planning tool that redesigns the Reggio of the next decades. The mobility system to which the urban sector is working on looks at an ambitious objective, but not impossible to claim the commissioner Paolo Malara: to reduce the use of private cars, to reorganize the spaces to increase the areas intended for green and public places of community. The idea is under the design phase and provides for an experimentation to be carried out in the railway stations of Archi and Gallico. All this while waiting for the arrival in the city (scheduled for early November) of the Spanish Spanish ecologist architect Salvatore Rueda who signed the Urban Planning Revolution of Barcelona to which the urban plan of sustainable traffic was entrusted.
A vision that moves on four strategic axes: the metropolitan line; intermodality port/neighborhoods/airport; the regeneration of the stations of the neighboring areas; The new hierarchy of public mobility, active mobility and private mobility.
