A survey made by YouTrend for Sky Tg24 asked the Italians to express a prediction on the outcome of the six regional elections expected in the autumn. In reality, the regions involved would be seven, but the Aosta Valley does not fall within the count because there is no direct election of the president there. It is important to underline that these are not voting intentions: the question was addressed to the entire representative sample of the Italian adult population, and not only to the residents in the regions affected by the vote.

According to the results, the center -left would keep control of the three regions led by outgoing presidents – Tuscany, Campania and Puglia – while the center -right would confirm its positions in Veneto and Calabria. Greater uncertainty instead in the Marche, where the outgoing governor Francesco Acquaroli (Fratelli d’Italia) is ahead in the predictions with 36% of the preferences, against the 25% attributed to the center -left candidate Ricci. However, a significant share of the sample (39%) does not unbalance.

On the national level, 52% of the interviewees believe that these regional elections will have no significant consequences on the stability of the government led by Giorgia Meloni.

Methodological note – The survey was conducted with Cawi methodology between 3 and 5 September 2025 on a sample of 805 interviewees, representative of the adult population residing in Italy. Crossed shares have been used by gender and age, stratified by qualification and territorial division and distribution ISTAT. The margin of statistical error is ± 3.5% with a 95% confidence interval.

Tridico: «They also replied in Trentino. Youtrend data not a survey or intention of voting but forecast “

«A prediction passed off for yet another doped survey. Youtrend data are very clear: “A forecast was requested – explains the consultancy company – not the intention of voting; in addition, the application was asked to the whole representative sample of the Italian population of age, and not only to residents in each region to vote”. In practice, those who live in Trento also replied what the Calabrians would vote ». It is when he declares Pasquale Tridico, candidate for the presidency of the Calabria Region for the progressive field.
