The movement of the Calabria Region has convened for today, Monday 1 September 2025, from 10 to 22, an online consultation reserved for members with at least six months of seniority. The goal is to approve the proposal of circumscription lists in view of the next regional elections.
According to the internal rules, if the proposal does not obtain the green light, an alternative plan will immediately start: the direct vote on the self -rights received. In this case, the lists will be composed on the basis of the number of preferences collected, following a decreasing order and in full compliance with the rules on gender representation. The movement also specifies that the candidates will remain subjects until the day of the official presentation to further checks on the required requirements. Any shortcomings will involve exclusion from the list.
The Statute of the Movement excludes some categories from the vote: members will not be able to participate for less than six months, those who are suspended (also in a precautionary way), the members already excluded with provision – albeit non -definitive – and simple supporters.

“The latest gimmick of the M5S in Calabria is to nominate Professor Donatella di Cesare, already known to the chronicles for her public releases, including that in an assembly of students at the La Sapienza University of Rome, in favor of the work of the Red Brigades. Iron (Fdi), nominating Caesar does not reflect institutions values
“The candidacy of Professor Donatella di Cesare in Calabria by the 5 Star Movement arouses serious concern, in the light of his previous public statements, excessively indulgent, almost absolute, on the occasion of the death of the brigatist, never repentant, Barbara Balzerani”. Tridico: “amazed by the attacks on Donatella di Cesare, no to hatred campaigns”
“I am amazed and disconcerted by the attacks of Fratelli d’Italia against Donatella di Cesare, philosopher, pacifist and feminist, targeted using an old tweet distorted to attribute them theses never supported and words never pronounced”.
