The entire trucking category “is geared towards blocking road transport services.” This was announced by Unatras, the unitary coordination of the national sector associations, in light of the meetings and assemblies called over the weekend.

“The request is unambiguous: – we read in a note – structured, medium and small-sized companies ask in unison for the suspension of transport services”. The companies complain about “the irresponsible attitude of the clients, which leads to a reduction of up to 40 cents per litre, and the lack of attention from the Government”. On Friday 17 April the National Executive Committee of Unatras will be called to decide on the suspension of services, initiating the procedures foreseen for the block.
