New landing of migrants this morning along the Jonica Reggina coast. Around 5:45 the patrol boat of the coast guard CP 328 landed in the port of Roccella Jonica with 30 men on board, all of a declared Egyptian and Bangladesian nationality.
Among the migrants who arrived in Port are nine unaccompanied foreign minors (MSNA). After the first landing operations, migrants underwent the usual identification procedures and rapid health control to verify their health conditions.
The competent authorities, in collaboration with the Prefecture of Reggio Calabria, are preparing the transfer of migrants to the territory reception centers, with particular attention to the arrangement of minors.
This is the umpteenth landing that confirms that the Calabrian Jonica coast remains one of the routes most beaten by the smugglers for the travels of hope towards Europe.
