At a time when the public discussion risks transforming into a witch hunt, the activist Gregorio Lo Muto intervenes with clear and direct words on the question of the fountains of Viale delle Industrie di San Gregorio d’Ippona, for days the subject of controversy, videos and shared photographs on social media.
“It is right to criticize, supervise and ask for more and more attention to our public areas,” says Lo Muto, “but it is equally necessary to recognize when an administration works with commitment and constancy for the good of the country. In this sense, I consider it necessary to underline the good work of the Farfaglia administration, who has shown that he knows how to manage the territory, despite all the difficulties of a municipality like ours.”
The reference is clear: despite some videos that show dirt and degradation near the public fountains, the silent invites us to reflect on the real causes. “The reality is that Buonaparte of the state of neglect is caused not by the administration, but on the one hand – fortunately a minority – of the citizens or of the visitors of the area that deal with a public space such as a landfill. Empty bottles, plastic bags, waste materials … all stuff that could safely be brought home and disposed of with separate collection.”
However, the activist does not deny that there are small interventions to be made: “If we really want to talk about defects, we can mention the need to replace the plastic roof covering the fountains, now worn. But this is certainly not the measure of evaluation of good administration. It is rather in constant maintenance, in the care of green and in the attention to the services that you can see the serious work of those who govern.”
Towards the administrative elections
A look, then, is aimed at the future local administrative administrative of May 2026. Lo Muto launches an appeal to the constructive dialogue: “I hope that these months that will follow the regional of 5 and 6 October 2025 can be as an opportunity to discuss real problems of the municipal area between the different political teams, and not to raise dust on easily exploitation issues. It is necessary to sit at a table and think together, with a different vision, The unity of intent and thought can create a healthy and lasting political project for San Gregorio d’Ippona. “
And he concludes: “I am there, I am willing to dialogue, the open and honest confrontation. Because beyond the flags, political jackets or personalisms, what matters is the good of our country.”
