The ghost of the 300-bed hospital in the Cuccubello district, in Sant’Agata Militello, which began in the 80s of the last century but remained a skeleton of concrete and scrap metal, costing over 35 billion lire, returns to materialize in the political debate.
«After more than thirty years of abandonment, the continuation of a situation of immobility which has transformed a strategic infrastructure into a symbol of waste of public resources is no longer tolerable», writes the regional deputy Matteo Sciotto in a question signed with his colleagues from Sud Gioca Nord Cateno De Luca, Giuseppe Lombardo and Andrea Messina.
