Finally a beautiful summer day to frame the Granfondo della Ceramica which took place in the territory of S Stefano di Camastra and the Valle dell'Halaesa area, valid as a test of the Coppa Sicilia circuit. For the 17th edition (organised as always by the Catanzaro family), around 600 participants competed, divided into the two classic Granfondo and Mediofondo categories, across routes of 106.5 and 64.5 kilometers enjoying breathtaking views. But not just cycling on this day, also a moment of solidarity to say No to violence against women launched by the motorbike relay association.
Nicola Genovese was the first to cross the finish line in the Granfondo and enter the event's roll of honour. of the Rosso Azzurri team with a time of 2h46'02″; behind him Pietro Mina of the Bike Siracusa Noto team, while the podium was completed by Pietro Mina and Giuseppe Di Salvo.
In the Mediofondo victory for Pasquale Cirrincione of the Team Competition company, who crossed the finish line after 1h35'56″. Behind him came the couple Andrea Giurdanella and Salvatore Chiodo, who arrived after 1h35'59″.
