Sbarra “promotes” the maneuver and its effects on Calabria: «It’s a real boost for the region»

Undersecretary Luigi Sbarra sees the glass half full. The definitive approval of the Maneuver in Parliament “marks a fundamental step” for the Calabrian undersecretary at Palazzo Chigi with delegation to the South. “In the last three years – explains the former union leader – the South has grown more than other areas of the country, the gross domestic product has increased, public and private investments have started to run again and the employment rate has significantly strengthened. It is the result of a clear and coherent strategy, which puts development and work at the centre.”

In Calabria there is still a long way to go despite the signs of economic recovery, with an expansion of the gross domestic product estimated in 2025 to be higher than the national average and that of the South, thanks to the growth in business turnover, the increase in exports and the positive dynamics of employment, as highlighted by the economic report of the Bank of Italy. «In this region – reasons Sbarra -, historically marked by youth emigration, incentives for stable employment represent a decisive lever for retaining skills, valorising talents and building lasting development».
