We cannot remain indifferent to the protest of thousands of workers and workers of justice. Today they take to the square not only to defend their future, but to defend a principle that concerns everyone: the right of citizens to have justice that works ».

This was stated by Enzo Scalese, Secretary General of the CGIL Vasta Catanzaro-Crotone-Vibo area.

In the last three years, thanks to the recruitment financed by the PNRR, about 12 thousand employees have guaranteed fundamental support to the functioning of the judicial offices, helping to break down the backlog and make the response of justice more quickly for citizens. “We are talking about personnel who worked in the courts, in the short appeal and in the offices of the Ministry – stresses Scalese – and that from 30 June 2026 he risks seeing his contracts expire without any stabilization perspective. It would be enormous damage not only for those who have served with competence and dedication, but for the entire judicial system “.

According to CGIL, in fact, the lack of organic remains one of the major critical issues in the sector: “In a sector in which the number of employees is already insufficient today – adds Scalese – it is unthinkable to give up those who have shown on the field that they are indispensable. Justice needs continuity, of investments in human capital, not of further cuts ».

The request is clear: immediately start stabilization paths and guarantee structural tools that allow not to disperse the work done so far.

“If we want quick and effective justice – concludes Scalese – it is necessary to give certainties to these workers and workers, recognizing their role and their concrete contribution to improving the system”.
