A professor and two doctors, originally from Condofuri, in the Reggio area, accused in competition for fraud against the state, were sentenced to 2 years and 8 months of imprisonment and a fine of 1200 euros for procedural costs at the end of the trial celebrated with the abbreviated rite, by the gup of the Court of Rimini, Raffaella Ceccarelli. According to the investigations, coordinated by the prosecutor Luca Bertuzzi, performed by the Guardia di Finanza, the two doctors, “with the certificates of false diagnosis would have allowed the teacher to justify the absence from the service for long periods”.
The teacher, through the certificates of false diseases, would have scammed the state of their salary for an overall sum of almost 50 thousand euros. The Professor, 30 years old, residing in the municipality of Condofuri, from 2019 until the school year 2022 would have received several fixed -term positions as an alternate in the province of Rimini and, in particular, to the scientific and linguistic high school of Novafeltria and to the technical institutes ‘Belluzzi and Alberti’ in Rimini.
Absences of months – according to the investigators – with certificates that went from January to May, and then resumed regularly in the following September, at the beginning of the following school year. About 35 medical certificates that the prosecutor subjected to technical office consultancy from which it clearly emerged that the two professionals prescribed life -saving therapies to the young teacher without the requirement of gravity. In May 2024 it was the GUP that ordered, having its appearance in the hospital, that the 30 -year -old professor underwent medical tests to certify his health. The perital exams would therefore have confirmed the thesis of the prosecutor and tried the scam.
