In Monday’s council session, the annual report on the internal control system (exercise 2024) and the general settlement of the budget and safeguarding the balance for the 2025 exercise were approved with the votes of the majority.
On the two points on the examination of the Asseise, the Councilor for the Budget, Pietro Sgarlato, reported. Regarding the new regulation on the internal control system, as premised by the commissioner, the controls “are carried out in compliance with the principle of self-protection, which requires the administration the power-duty to review their activity and its documents, with the aim of eliminating any errors or reviewing the choices made, in order to prevent or put an end to conflicts, potential or in place, in the full and continuous pursuit of the public interest”.
