Summit behind the scenes to the White House to increase aid in Gaza against the famine and discuss a post -war plan. The move arrives while in the strip continues to die for hunger or for the attacks of the Idf, who on the outskirts of Gaza City is preparing the offensive to conquer the largest city in the Palestinian territory, considering its evacuation “inevitable”. The participants in the summit, chaired by Donald Trump, are American and Israeli managers, with a meeting also between the Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, and the Foreign Minister of Israeli, Gideon Sàar.
But all the eyes were focused on Jared Kushner, the son -in -law and former presidential councilor of the Tycoon who had the delegation for the Middle East, and Tony Blair, a former British premier and former correspondent of the European quartet for the same region. According to an Axios scoop, the directors of the operation, the architects of the plan for the “day after” in Gaza are the scoop.
An indispensable plan for any diplomatic initiative aimed at ending the war, even if reconstructing a completely destroyed enclave and designing a political and security architecture that all parties can accept will be incredibly difficult.
That of Kushner and Blair is based on some ideas – not yet leaked – on how to govern Gaza without Hamas in power. A postbellic plan coordinated with the White House could give Israeli Premier Benjamin Netanyahu, now under pressure from the demonstrators and military leadership, a political coverage to accept a ceasefire, while presenting it as a more complete agreement to remove Hamas from power.
“It is a very complete plan that we are elaborating for the Day After (in Gaza) and many people will see how solid it is and how well it is well intended, as reflects the humanitarian motivations of President Trump”, assured Steve Witkoff. It was Trump’s correspondent who announced a “great meeting” to the White House on Gaza in an interview with Fox News, where he said the war could end by the end of the year. Witkoff, according to Axios, is discussing with Kushner and Blair of a post -war plan for Gaza for several months, after the controversial proposal of the Tycoon to make it a “Riviera del Middle East”. Blair met Witkoff at the White House in July, on the same day when Netanyahu met Trump.
Several days later, Blair met the Palestinian president Mahmoud Abbas and informed him about the proposals for the post-war phase in Gaza and his interviews in Washington. Kushner was also in Israel at the beginning of this month and met Netanyahu to discuss the strip. Blair is close to Netanyahu and his closer councilor Ron Dermer, head of the post -war planning of Israel.
Do not forget that Blair, Dermer and the Foreign Minister of the Arab Emirates Abdullah Bin Zayed worked on a joint postbellic plan for Gaza during the Biden administration. The previous presidency ended up incorporating some aspects in a plan publicly presented by the then Secretary of State Tony Blinken less than a week before leaving the assignment. The objective of the summit to the White House also humanitarian aid: “It is a matter of expanding the food plan, quantity, distribution method, the number of people who could be assisted,” said an American official, according to which Trump instructions are “solved this problem”.
In the meantime, to yet another security advice, the UN denounces that “over half a million people currently suffer from hunger, indigence and death in Gaza” and that “by the end of September this number could exceed 640,000. Practically no one in Gaza is immune from hunger: at least 132,000 children under 5 are expected to suffer from acute malnutrition from here to the mid -2026 “. According to the media, at least 51 Palestinians were killed in the attacks of the Israeli army in the strip since dawn on Wednesday, while the Ministry of Health of Gaza managed by Hamas states that 10 Palestinians, including two children, died in the strip due to “famine and malnutrition” in the last 24 hours.
