The staff of the Railway Police Station of the Catanzaro Lido station identified a person who, in recent days, had taken possession of a smartphone in the square in front of the station, stealing it from a married couple who had come from Cosenza to reach the Fair Authority in anticipation of a competitive exam.
The 49-year-old offender, resident in Cosenza, was traced following a timely investigation which allowed him to be reported to the Judicial Authority.
The stolen goods were returned to the rightful owner, who was deeply grateful to the police operators for their effective intervention also in consideration of the fact that the mobile phone not only represents a financial asset but now holds a real slice of private life which holds sensitive data, bank accounts and precious memories of family life.
