The organizational machine of the Carlino Argento prize is already heating the engines for the eighth edition of the prestigious recognition promoted by the association of the same name, with the sharing of the Municipality of Catanzaro and the Chamber of Commerce of Catanzaro-Crotone-Vibo Valentia.
Tuesday 23 September, at the Council Hall of the Chamber of Commerce of Catanzaro, the first meeting of the Commission was held to decree the names of the Calabrian personalities who are characterized and will receive recognition in the categories culture, visual arts and disciplines of the entertainment, social commitment, entrepreneurship and young people. Also this year, moreover, a special prize and a career prize will be scheduled.
At the time of confrontation, Yves Catanzaro, creator and president of the Carlino D’Argento Award Association, was attended, flanked by the vice -president Andrea Scarpino and the secretary Giulia Guerrieri. Also present were Donatella Monteverdi, city councilor for culture, Giuliana Furr, city councilor for economic activities, Alessandra Gazzani Marinelli representing the Chamber of Commerce Catanzaro-Crotone-Vibo Valentia, Domenico Gareri, Production Director of the Prize, Franco Megna, National Secretary of the Italian Federation of Popular Traditions, partner of the event, as well as the Camera della Moda Artigiana, represented by President Pietro Marino. Anna Russo, architect as well as president of the commission, intervened in streaming connection.
The date of the award ceremony has been established, which will be held on December 21 at the Politeama Theater in Catanzaro, but the occasion was also profitable to define the organizational details relating to the news of the incoming edition, namely the collateral events that will take place in symbolic places of the city of Catanzaro, starting from 24 October. The rich and prestigious calendar of activities that will preceded the Gran Gala will be revealed in the coming weeks during a press conference.
