The preliminary hearing against seven people, recipients of the request for indictment for the hypothesis in the culpable competition of road homicide for the death of the young doctor of Sant’Agata Militello Francesco Maniaci, killed by a large pine precipitated on his car on the morning of 9 October 2023, will Messina-Palermo near Campofelice di Roccella. That day the 43 -year -old doctor was going to Trapani to carry out his work at the INPS Legal Medicine Office. Recipients of the request for indictment are several subjects in the respective qualities of managers or directors of the works in the context of the technical and maintenance activities delegated to the Sicilian Autostrade Consortium. To formulate the accusatory hypothesis against the suspects was the public prosecutor of the Public Prosecutor of Patti, Dr. Giacomo Barbara. The victim’s family members, represented by the lawyer Massimiliano Fabio del Foro di Patti in the procedure.
