The man responsible for the ACRI fire on 25 July arrested. It was the soldiers of the Forestry Carabinieri Unit that made the ordinance of house arrest issued by the investigating judge of the Court of Cosenza at the request of the local Prosecutor’s Office. In the end of the man, serious clues that connect him to the stake of “Vagno” locality, in which hectares of Mediterranean scrub were in smoke, putting at risk a home and a nearby high -stem coniferous forest.
The investigative results, acquired following the accurate investigations carried out by the Acri Forestry Carabinieri Unit coordinated by the Prosecutor of Cosenza, have made it possible to reconstruct the story in the sense that, from the findings carried out on the spot and by the analysis of the images of the video surveillance systems present in the area, the presence of a man emerged which, at the helm of a small car, after having approached the road to the road, set the fire.
