Mandanici theater, the mayor runs for cover, entrusting the free assignment of expert to Maestro Alberto Maria Antonio Munafò Siragusa. After the political storm triggered by the Council Resolution number 173 of 2 September 2025, with which he relies on the councilor Angelita Pino the exclusive power to authorize the shows to be admitted on the stage of the Placido Mandanici Municipal Theater, Calabrò tries to rebalance the situation. With the new it determines the first citizen has in fact appointed – free of charge – the expert for the activities of enhancing the theater in the person of the master Alberto Maria Antonio Munafò Siragusa, a figure with experience recognized in the artistic field and who has already followed several theatrical seasons. The decision comes in the full of the controversy followed the choice of the junta to concentrate on the Pino councilor, in the absence of an artistic director, the assessment of the requests for granting the structure. A solution that the administration had presented as a guarantee of transparency and organizational continuity, but that the opposition has branded as a “serious anomaly”, denouncing the risk of an excessive political centralization in the management of a public good intended to be cultural engine of the territory.
