He is making a stop for the first time (and will stop until tomorrow) in the port of Milazzo the ship of the Coast Guard CP 422 “Aurelio Visalli”, named after the memory of the 2nd chief chosen np/ms Aurelio Visalli. The unit, back from an international mission of one month in the Greek waters, returns to Italy and chooses Milazzo for its first national landing: a highly evocative gesture, considered the strong link between the disappeared military and the Port Authority.

An opportunity with a great symbolic meaning for the Mamertine Community and in particular for the Port Authority led by the commander Alessandro Sarro who recalled Visalli, who died on September 26, 2020 during a heroic rescue attempt at sea, who earned him the gold medal at the Marina value.

This morning, on the quay of Molo Marullothe touching commemorative ceremony in honor of Visalli and the first landing of the naval unit which bears its name to the presence of family and civil and military authorities.
