A Palestinian source reported this morning to the channels at Arabiya and Hadath that the spokesman for the Qassam brigades, the military wing of Hamas, known as Abu Obeida, was killed. The Palestinian source confirmed that Israel has targeted a house where the Qassam spokesman was located and that the Israeli bombing caused the death of all the people present, the Abu Obeida family and the leaders of the Qassam brigades confirmed the death after examining the body. An Israeli spokesman had announced yesterday that an important leader of Hamas had been targeted in Gaza.
Hamas confirmed the death of his military commander in Gaza, Mohammed Sinwar, after Israel had announced his death in an air attack in May. Hamas did not provide details on Sinwar’s death, but published a photo of him together with other leaders of the movement, describing them as “martyrs”. The Arab and Israeli media report it. Mohammed Sinwar was Yahya Sinwar’s younger brother, the Hamas leader who helped plan the attack of October 7, 2023 against Israel and who was killed by Israel a year later. The brother died, he was promoted to the highest ranks of the movement. The confirmation of his death would leave his close collaborator, Izz al-Din al-Haddad, who currently supervises operations in the north of Gaza, in Capo dell’Arrata of Hamas throughout the strip.
