The “This Must Be The Place” review returns to Crotone: among the protagonists Danilo Rea

After the great success of last year, when for the first time, thanks to an intuition of the volcanic director of Archaeological parks of Crotone and Sibari (Pacs) Filippo Demma, took shape “This must be the place” (TMBTP)from 25 July to 24 August the National Archaeological Park of Capo Colonna and the spaces in front of the imposing fortress of Le Castella will be transformed again into the spectacular locations of the highly anticipated Crotone event that combines music and archeology in a breathtaking scenario, icon of the extraordinary beauty of the land of Calabria.

The second edition of the review financed by the Ministry of Culture and hosted in the places of ancient Kroton, provides for a rich and varied program that will be substantiated in five appointments Concentrate in two weekends included in the time of a month – the last of July (from Friday 25 to Sunday 27) and the penultimate of August (with the events scheduled for Saturday 23 and Sunday 24) – of which national and internationally renowned artists will be careful with carefully selected by the new artistic director Sergio Gimigliano.

On the occasion of each of the five evenings – which will all be free of charge, the events will offer the public the pretext to visit and get to know closely the rich archaeological heritage of the sites involved (with guided tours organized ad hoc), in a cultural experience that has been deliberately designed as immersive and shared.

To inaugurate the review, on Friday 25 July at 10 pm at the National Archaeological Park of Capo Colonna, will be one of the undisputed ambassadors of Italian jazz in the world: Danilo Reapianist of immense talent and musician who has always been known and appreciated also worldwide for his incredible stylistic versatility, which with his plan on the piano will only bring the spectators to an exciting musical journey that will go from the cornerstones of jazz to the music of the Beatles, up to the best known and appreciated work arias, passing through the most famous international hits and for the successes of the major Italian songwriters (De Andrè, De Andrè. Gregori, Dalla, Mannoia …).

The following day, Saturday 26 July, however, always at 10 pm, the magical scenario of Capo Colonna will host the “Buscadero Summer Night”, with a concert sponsored by the specialized magazine which represents the most important point of reference in Italy for lovers of rock music.

During the evening, the absolute protagonist will be the incredible American session, band of the Boston area formed by a collective of musicians (all multi -instrumentalists and singers) who during his career has collaborated with numerous artists of the American scene – including Patty Griffin, Rose Pozenzani, Peter Wolf, Jeffrey Foucault, Anaïs Mitchell, Aoife O’onovan and Rachael Price -What will propose some of the songs contained in the latest album entitled “The Rattle and the Clarter. Twenty Years (So Far) of American Session” released in 2024, offering the public sound emotions of great intensity.

The “three days” of July hosted in the suggestive scenario of the National Archaeological Park of Capo Colonna will then be closed, on Sunday 27 July at 10 pm, by the amazing blacks by chance, namely the best known chapel group of the Italian scene, which after the success in Sanremo 1995 in the “New proposals” category with the song “Le Girls” has collaborated with some of the most important Italian artists (Lucio Dalla, Gino Paoli, Claudio Baglioni, Zero, Mario Biondi, Jovanotti) and foreigners (among others: Bobby McFerrin, Dionne Worldk, Randy Crawford and Chaka Khan) and for a couple of years he has returned to the limelight thanks to the fixed participation in the cast of the new exhilarating broadcast of the Gialappa’s Band conducted by the magician Forest and broadcast every Sunday in the early evening on Tv8.

In the following month, however, the TMBTP 2025 will return to the suggestive scenario of Capo Colonna on Saturday 23 August, always at 10 pm, for the concert of the Sicilian singer -songwriter and guitarist Mario Venuti, who has always been known and appreciated by the public for his original style that combines melody, elegance and sound contaminations between pop, rock and South American influences.

Accompanied by the pianist Rosario Di Leo, the bassist Vincenzo Virgillito and the drummer Peppe Tringali, he will play his most famous songs for the public (including: “Crucele”, “Truly”, “Fallen from the stars”, “Another place in the world” and “Never as yesterday”, at the time made in a duet with Carmen Consoli), but also many Italian songs, bringing back emotions and memories. timeless.

After these four unmissable stages in Capo Colonna, the “This Must Be the Place” review, conceived and strongly desired by the Director of the Pacs Filippo Demma, promoted by the Ministry of Culture – Directorate General Entertainment with the support of the Municipalities of Crotone and Isola Capo Rizzuto and the collaboration of the XXIV Peperoncino Jazz Festival, will finally be closed on Sunday 24 August, with the stage scheduled in the municipal area of Isola Capo Rizzuto hosted in the suggestive frame.
